It is a new toy everyday!

LEGO Games

LEGO may be a Danish toy brand, but the famous line of plastic construction toys are ubiquitous with childhood all around the world. Tens of millions of kids have learned about space, robots, pirates, trains, and so much more as they sharpen their critical thinking skills to assemble beautiful sets. With such rampant popularity, it was only a matter of time before LEGO would dive into brand-name entertainment like Star Wars and superheroes. Nothing gets kids so interested in learning like TIE Fighters and Caped Crusaders. And with the success of these cross-media endeavors came the next obvious move: video games.

MyEmulator happily hosts several LEGO-based video games and our library of cult classics is growing all the time. We have vintage titles for Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and N64 that have long been out of print, so tracking them down in stores is almost impossible. We’re here to help! Play these great LEGO games straight from your browser today.

First up is LEGO Soccer Mania from 2004. This GBA sports pack is known as LEGO Football Mania in Europe, since football is soccer in Europe. We host the North American version, however, so don’t get confused! The game features simplified soccer. Each team is composed of only six players, and several of the most technical rules are omitted. The stadiums, maps, teammates, and more are all designed with the LEGO aesthetic in mind, and much of what’s seen on screen is in fact based on real LEGO sets!

In today’s world, LEGO Star Wars games are all the rage. We’ve seen so many of them that it’s easy to forget there was a time when the mere thought of combining the titular toys with A Galaxy Far, Far Away seemed ludicrous. In 2005, LucasArts and developer Traveler’s Tales came together to bring iconic heroes to multiple systems, including the Game Boy Advance version we have here at MyEmulator. Of interesting note here is that this, the very first LEGO Star Wars game – with the simple, straightforward name of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game! – was all about the prequel trilogy. Luke, Han, Leia, and the gang wouldn’t show up until later on, because the prequels were wrapping up with Revenge of the Sith and merchandising still surrounded Anakin, Obi-Wan, and friends.

Of course, we couldn’t not host LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. The game was released for GBA the following year, bringing the classical trilogy’s adventures to a small screen near you. It launched to much success, as many fans were tired of the prequel aesthetic and yearned for the “good old days.”

If you’d rather play everything all in one go, the shinier Nintendo DS has the fortune of featuring LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. This is a port of the first two games, and its reception is simply sterling. With over 15 million copies sold across all hardware, it held the record of best-selling LEGO game for a full decade. Our DS version alone sold nearly five million copies!

LEGO Batman: The Video Game came along in 2008, years before LEGO movies would incorporate Bruce Wayne into their storylines. LEGO Batman tells an original tale based upon several iconic characters from the DC Universe. Its success spawned two sequels, but the first game’s radical introduction of two campaigns – one for Batman and Robin, and another in which you play as the villains – makes this a must-play Nintendo DS experience.

If your tastes tend more toward home consoles, we even have LEGO Racers for the Nintendo 64. Released in 1999, it is one of the earliest LEGO video games ever made. Set in the fictional “Legoland Universe”, players compete in a tournament created by the legendary Rocket Racer himself. With items on the tracks that can help you and hinder your foes, you might find yourself wondering if you’ll pass Mario and his pals in the next lap, but LEGO Racers is a 100% LEGO affair!
