Super Tetris 3 (SNES) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online

Super Tetris 3 (AKA スーパーテトリス3 in Japan) is a multiplayer puzzle video game developed and published by Bullet Proof Software for the Super Famicom (SNES Japan) console in 1994. It is the direct sequel to Tetris 2 (1994).

There are indeed so many Tetris games released since the original version came out and was enjoyed by many. It is a Russian puzzle game that has proven its popularity to the world and even became the game that marketed consoles such as the Gameboy.

Nowadays, Tetris still hasn’t lost its spark—you can play it almost anywhere, even on the internet. Since then, many different versions of the game were released into the gaming world. Given the number of versions out there, what sets this game apart from the rest?

Other versions have their standard playing mode, but what’s interesting about this game is that its elements are built on the original version, with a few more features added: single player mode to four-player mode, a wide selection of challenges, the option to choose between playing with new shapes or the original blocks. The last option gives the player the freedom whether to try out new shapes or to stick with the original (because that’s how sentimental you can get). The developers of the game probably wanted to give the players more than just the usual, good old play.

The challenges in Super Tetris 3 take on a whole different level as compared to the original. The shapes consist of bombs and the goal is to eliminate all the lines. When you get a series of four bombs, you are rewarded with a super bomb that could blow up more lines than does a regular bomb. Similar to other versions, this game also allows the players to gradually learn each level of difficulty.

The music and sound effects are effective at amping up the thrill of the game – the music gets faster and faster as you advance. The controls are generally smooth and respond quickly to your touch. The graphics are pretty much the same with other Tetris titles. Nothing really interesting except for its new shapes and colorful backgrounds.

Overall, this game is rated above average—much props to its enhanced quality. However, the title of the game is dull, given the many games out there. The developers could have used a rather interesting name for yet another version. Nonetheless, the game still hasn’t lost its ability to lure its players into its puzzle for long, long hours.
