Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SNES) – Free and unblocked game to play online
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (AKA TMNT: Turtles in Time or Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles IV) is a 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up type game for the Super Nintendo console based mainly on the 1987 TMNT animated series. Developed by Konami and released in 1992, it is considered as one of the best and most influential games of its generation. This review will mainly focus on the SNES version of Turtles in Time, which is the sequel to TMNT3: The Manhattan Project for the NES.
There is always the worry that converting an arcade game for console use would take away a lot of its soul. While it has happened to some games, this is not the case with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time. As the first TMNT game in the Super NES, it has managed to retain most of the graphic and gameplay elements from the arcade version. Outside of some minor graphic and sound modifications, the SNES version of Turtles in Time is spot-on with the arcade version.
There is incredible value in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time beyond being able to play as your favorite characters. It is an incredibly addictive game, something that you could easily play for hours. While the story is linear (most beat ’em up games are anyway), there is some depth on the gameplay that will keep things interesting. All 4 of the turtles have unique character traits, and you can unleash combinations, jump higher, and evade attacks with some button juggling. Great graphics, sound, and unique console-only options provide the icing on the cake.
