Doom 64 (N64) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online
Doom 64 set the standard for FPS games in the N64 gaming system. The game combined 3D graphics with straightforward shooting mechanics. It also features medieval and science-fiction themes and hair-raising background music.
Doom 64 is brutal. Brutality is the first thing that players will see in this game. The first stage opens with the cinematics that show that monsters are being shot by soldiers in suits. The mobs are hideous. Their looks are not for the fainthearted. It’s a horror game similar to Dead space, and it is as thrilling and horrifying as Silent Hill.
For a retro arcade title, don’t expect too much of its graphics. If you compare this to others of its kind that were released in the 90’s, its graphic art, character designs, and backdrops are not that good. There are many other retro games that have better graphics than Doom 64.
However, its graphics is its only weakness. All of its other features are great and terrific. The sound effects and background music, coupled with the demons’ hideous appearance, can send chills down your spine. Screams of victims sound real, and the grunts made by the demons can make you hesitate to turn around a corner. The dark aura that emanates from its environment also adds to the eerie atmosphere of the game. Its ambient soundtrack is haunting.
The game is not actually plot-driven, but with its ambiance, you don’t need lots of cinematics and cut scenes to understand what happened to the setting. Most of your enemies are nightmare cacodemons and hideous fat butchers, and you have to traverse and progress on a post-apocalyptic Earth.

The game’s main objectives are to scavenge for supplies, shoot-to-kill, and survive until you reach an exit. Doom 64 has 30 levels plus 2 secret missions. All of them are challenging. If you’re not keen-eyed or cautious, you will die 30 seconds after the start of the game. There are invisible tripwires, spears and rockets that shoot from walls, and devious traps. Boogey traps can imprison you within a cage and release human-eating hell knights.
Doom 64 is a hidden gem. Not many people know that it even exists, but overall, it’s an excellent retro video game. It has awesome level designs, interesting puzzles, powerful and futuristic weapons, terrifying sound effects and BGM, and gut-wrenching mobs. If you like horror games, then you may fancy playing it.
The game has only been ported to Nintendo 64 and you can play it with our N64 Emulator.
