Mega Man 5 (NES) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online
Mega Man 5 (AKA Rockman 5 or ロックマン5 ブルースの罠!? Rokkuman Faibu Burūsu no Wana!? in Japan) is an amazing 2D side-scrolling run and gun action platform video game developed by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1992. It is the fifth installment of the Mega Man series and was followed by Mega Man 6.
Mega Man 1, 2, and 3 were the best episodes from the saga. Mega Man 4 was considered lackluster and unimaginative. So when Capcom released Mega Man 5 for the NES, they were taking on a holy duty to bring back Mega Man to its former glory.
This time, the developers decided to stick to the formula that made the first three iterations a success. Just like the previous Mega Man games, you get to choose one of the eight robot masters at the start. The weapon that you gain from one can be used to defect the other. It’s a bit of a trial and error process, just like the old versions. Rush, Mega Man’s faithful canine sidekick, returns and is useful for tasks and areas that are impossible for our hero to tackle alone. There are hidden surprises within Mega Man 5, and that’s for you to find out.
Controls have always been Mega Man saga’s strongest asset. They have always been spot-on and very responsive, which makes using the available special abilities intuitive and easy.
Given the limitations of the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System hardware, the creators have always made good use of all available features and capabilities of the console. Mega Man 5 boasts of beautifully drawn levels, and the robot bosses are amazingly detailed.

Mega Man’s reputation for great music and sound effects continues in Mega Man 5. There are the usual tunes that have become anthems for loyal fans of the series, and then some. Overall, all the tracks in this bunch are all good. Sound effects are everywhere, and are clear and audible.
If you have played all the previous Mega Man games before this one, there’s no reason why you should not buy it. Even if you’re playing a Mega Man game for the first time, Mega Man 5 is still very much newbie-friendly.
Mega Man 5 has been ported to NES (this version), Sony PlayStation, and Virtual Console.
