The Last Blade 2 (NeoGeo) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online
The Last Blade 2 (AKA Heart of the Samurai or Bakumatsu Rouman Dai Ni Maku: Gekka no Kenshi – Tsuki ni Saku Hana, Chiri Yuku Hana (幕末浪漫第二幕 月華の剣士 ～月に咲く華、散りゆく花～ in Japan) is an action 2D fighting video game developed and published by SNK for the NEO GEO console in 1999. The game has been ported to a lot of systems.
The Last Blade 2 is similar to Street Fighter 2 (1992) in many ways like using double-half-circle and quarter-circle-to-half-circle controller motions to pull off special moves. But when it comes to graphics and sounds, this game is better than the great SF2.
The Last Blade 2 was developed by SNK Corporation in 1998. Similar to its predecessor, the first Last Blade video game, this game is also a weapons-based versus fighting game. It was originally released to arcades via NEOGEO gaming system.
The graphics and cinematics are gorgeous. Although it has some similarities to other similar fighting games that have been released before it, the backgrounds and characters of Last Blade 2 are original. The well-drawn anime-style characters have many frames of animation and deep palettes.
There are even eccentric and intriguing characters like Genbu no Okina, the guardian of Hell’s gate, Kojiroh Sanada, the captain of a fictional unit, and Kouryou, the age-old warrior who trained the protagonist, Kaede.

There are no comic-relief characters or sidekicks. Each of them is a killer. The special effects, such as the spurting of blood from fatalities, and the special moves of each character feel and look like movie effects from the samurai films of the 90s.
The visuals are violent and the death of a fighter is expressed sensitively. The movement of each character, like the swing of the fist or battle ax, is colorful and dream-like.
Background arts are stylized, and they match the atmosphere of The Last Blade 2 perfectly. The sprite fields give off a sense of movement and depth. This is because they augment the graphics of the characters by adding imagery and flair.
The Neo Zoom, a feature available on the NEOGEO, was present, and the way it was integrated to the game is one of the best uses of the feature.
If you play this game, you’ll see that its sound effects, gameplay characters, and frame rates are smooth. For a 2d game, the visuals and graphics of The Last Blade 2 are fairly solid and have minimal pixelation. If you fancy playing arcade fighting games, this is worth a try.
The Last Blade 2 game has been ported to Arcade, Neo Geo (this version), Neo-Geo CD, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Wii Virtual Console, PlayStation Network, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch
