Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter (Mega Drive) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online
Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter (AKA Mazin Wars or マジンサーガ in Japan) is a 2D beat ’em up / versus fighting video game developed by Almanic Corp. and published by Sega for its Genesis console in 1993. But, as you all know, it is possible to play the game online on our website.
The setting of Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter’s story is on a post-apocalyptic Earth that is torn by war. Godkaiser Hell leads the Biobeast Force and attacked the Earth. They destroyed the Earth and infested it with weapons. Doctor Kabuto created Mazinger Z, who is the savior of the Earth, protecting the planet against the Biobeast Force. Unlike in the manga though, the Mazinger Z in this game is a suit of armor – not a robot.
As Mazinger Z, you will pass through different countries in every stage. The gameplay is just average. Your mission is to reach the boss by killing the beasts. Your moves include swinging your sword, a super attack that drains some health, jumping, and a jumping spiral move. There are also a variety of combos that you can use against different enemies. These moves mostly do their job, but the number of enemies you have can be overwhelming because you only have limited attacks available.
What you will love about Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter is that there is variety in game mechanics. During most part of the game, you fight as a normal-sized warrior that battles other creatures of the same size. Then, at the end of every stage, your character will be transformed into its giant version to fight off the boss.

At this point, the game turns into a really simple fighting game. This is when the gameplay changes, which is different from the usual sword-slashing routine. The intensity of these fights increases, mainly because of the extreme difficulty, but especially because of the unique disadvantage you now have. The agile Mazinger-Z has transformed into a slow, enormous version.
As for the graphics, Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter looks pretty good. Your character reacts to attacks in varying spasms of pain and during the beat ‘em up stages, the sprites are also well animated. The dreaded boss fights look nice as well, considering they entirely look different compared to the beat ‘em up stages. However, these graphics are not that amazing.
The game has five levels, with every level having three stages. Only a few people may have the patience to endure the grueling fights of the latter half over and over again. In the end, the challenges you go through make up for it. All in all, Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter is a fairly solid game.
Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter game has only been ported to Sega Genesis (this version).
