Kid Chameleon (Mega Drive) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online
Kid Chameleon (AKA カメレオン キッド Kamereon Kiddo in Japan) is a 2D side-scrolling adventure platformer developed and published by Sega for the Genesis / Mega Drive 16-bit console in 1992. In the game You will be playing as the kid who journeys inside the virtual reality world to rescue the children trapped by a video game.
As you move around the game world, you will find different masks. These masks will help you transform into different kinds of superhero-like characters, hence the title Kid Chameleon.
With the help of these masks, you will try to jump through obstacles, defeat enemies, and reach the flag.
Kid Chameleon is very easy and intuitive. The gameplay is very much like how you play Mario and is quite enjoyable.
You move left or right and hop to pass obstacles. If you get certain power-ups, you can even shoot beams to your enemies.
What’s unique about Kid Chameleon lies in the masks that you will come across as you push through higher levels. These tools will aid you in passing through obstacles and confronting monsters. You should take note of each of the masks’ capabilities and use them only when the situation calls for it.
In a way, this game requires a bit of strategy. Most levels will allow you to choose and switch among two or three masks. You will gain different abilities such as the power to run through barriers, release beams to fry enemies, or bust through blocks from above.
Graphics are good and presentable. Though its repeated backgrounds could sometimes be a bore to some, the simplistic background and monsters have their own charm.
It isn’t so easy to finish either. You will find yourself stuck in one level and be frustrated as you hop through floating blocks, climb columns, and kill monsters while searching around for the other magic masks.

What’s great about Kid Chameleon is its challenge factor. There’s no in-depth storytelling, but that’s quite normal for these kind of platform games.
This game will test your patience and persistence. It has a total of about 100 levels that would take a very long time to finish. Since this game has no save feature, this is a complete challenge for those who want to absolutely finish the game from start to finish.
If you are like most players, you would have fun taking this game casually and be entertained going through different levels to kill time. Overall, it is a simple and fun game that anyone could enjoy.
Kid Chameleon game has been ported to Genesis, Virtual Console, Windows.
