Bionic Commando: Elite Forces (GBC) – Free and unblocked game (NO ROM) to play online

Bionic Commando: Elite Forces was released back in 1999 for Game Boy Color. This game was developed by Nintendo Software Technology and published by Nintendo. This game may not be the prettiest game out there, but this baby is definitely swinging. Well, that’s basically the gist of the action is on this game.

Bionic Commando: Elite Forces is actually the second portable title in this game series. Just like the original installment, you will need to swing, shoot bad guys, and then swing some more to get the job done. The background story is pretty dramatic though. The Avar Empire has invaded the generally peaceful land of Karinia. Answering the call to defend the place is Commander Joe.

Unfortunately, good old Joe got captured (again? Why not send someone else?). But the good news is that before they got him, he was able to send a transmission about something called the Albatross Project.
And that is how the Elite Forces of the Bionic Corps was sent out to rescue Commander Joe and thwart this evil project of the Avar Empire.

At the start of the game, you will be asked to choose between two commandos – one female and the other male. Note that there are two levels that will be different for each commando, which gives you some variety in the game experience.

Now, your commandos don’t jump – instead they can extend their bionic arms and swing like Tarzan. Press the A button and your commando will grab overhead so he or she could swing over.

The overall feel of the game is like Contra but the action is much different. There is a plethora of enemies to kill and bosses to fight. Unfortunately your commandos can only shoot right in front of them – although a scatter shot can be retrieved which improves your fire power.

Now, as a bit of fair warning – note that the commandos that you will choose from are definitely poorly dressed. The characters aren’t designed to look stellar. But hey they can get the job done.

If you like side-scrolling games like Castlevania, then Bionic Commando: Elite Forces offers that with a twist. Try it – it’s not as easy as you think and the challenge can be fun.

Bionic Commando: Elite Forces game has been ported to Game Boy Color (this version), and Nintendo Virtual Console (3DS).
